Trips

From December to May, we offer free monthly weekend snowsports support and instruction for our members with a wide variety of physical and/or mental disabilities. Our host for our on-snow activities is Mammoth Mountain in northern California. Our snowsports adaptive athletes ski or ride all day on Saturday and Sunday until noon. Each athlete is paired with an experienced adaptive snowsports instructor with one to four assistants as needed. Athletes are welcome to bring their own ski and snowboard equipment (in good safe condition) or use our equipment at no cost. We have snowboards, skis, bi-skis, mono-skis, and outriggers for 3-track and 4-track skiing. We welcome adaptive athletes of all skill levels, including beginners. 

Thanks to Mammoth Mountain’s generous support of our adaptive snowsports program, our volunteer instructors and assistants get a free lift ticket for all day Friday and the afternoon on Sunday. First time volunteers may be asked to spend a couple hours training with our Snowsports Director on Friday morning. Note: volunteers must be comfortable skiing or snowboarding blue intermediate runs.
